The exquisitely shaped tumblers formed from pure ice echo the traditional shot glass, a small, thick glass designed to measure one ounce of liquid, especially Vodka which has to be drunk straight and ice cold. Using the Scotsman AC 206 self-contained cuber capable of producing up to 56 pure ice glasses per cycle a unique inverted mould has been designed. Utilising Scotsman’s proven method of spraying water up into the mould a shot glass is formed and frozen. Inverting the mould ensures that any impurities in the water fall back down leaving a consistently crystal clear glass formed from ice. The Scotsman Ice Shot holds a single measure of up to 21 ml (2.1cl) of liquid.
The Scotsman Ice Shot glass has 2.5mm thick sidewalls and a 41mm diameter base and like all Scotsman Gourmet/Supercubes is formed from slow melting ice. A Scotsman Ice Shot Glass will last in excess of 5 minutes before minimal degradation occurs. Before the introduction of the AC 206 the only method of producing ice shot glasses was carving them by hand. With an hourly production rate of 168 shot glasses, providing a superb finish the AC 206 is a far superior alternative.
Furthermore, the one and only ice shot glass available on the market comes from an ice machine that can produce both full ice cubes and ice shot glasses. The ice is in fact produced by shortening the freezing cycle of the Extra Large, 60 grams, gourmet ice cube. This option is controlled by an extra board and it is possible to switch from one producing mode to the other simply by the press of a switch located on the front of the unit.
The Scotsman AC 206, self-contained Supercuber measures H 780* x W 1250 x D 620 (mm). In a 24-hour period it will produce up to 130 Kg of ice and has a storage bin capacity of 50 Kg. The machine incorporates its own self-contained storage bin and is designed to fit comfortably under a standard bar.
