New Scotsman TC180 Pushes All The Right Buttons

Hubbard Ice Systems has launched a new version of its popular Scotsman TC180 ice and water dispenser. Like its sister models, this new TC180 features a striking, 'Chrysler Building-like' design. Unlike the original units, which introduced 'hands-free' operation, the new 'TC180/pb' has push buttons. Hubbard developed the model primarily for self-service sites such as in-store restaurants, staff canteens and motorway service areas.
"The push button TC180 is ideal for self-service," says Chris Davis of Hubbard Ice Systems. "It's robust and simple to use: you just push the appropriate button, and that's it!"
The TC180's attractive design makes it a popular choice wherever the ice/water dispenser is in view of the customer, whilst its compact size makes it ideal for counter-top siting. So it's not surprising that the new push-button version was already creating considerable interest even before its official launch. "It's good looking and it's small, but its size-to-performance ratio is amazing," says Chris Davis, "and the new version is not just reliable to use, it's foolproof, too."
Operation could hardly be simpler. There are just two buttons to push on the TC180: one dispenses ice, the other chilled water. The ice is in the form of 'cubelets', randomly shaped pieces that look attractive and cool effectively, and the unit can make up to 140kg in 24 hours.
An added bonus for self-service counters is that the unit's airflow ventilation system, housed on top of the TC180, means it can be sited virtually anywhere, including flush against banks of drinks machines and food displays.
As you would expect from Hubbard Ice Systems, the TC180/pb is designed to encourage best hygiene practice, being manufactured using food-grade materials, with rounded corners to avoid dirt-traps, and featuring a removable dispensing chute for effective sanitising.
