Ice, Ice Baby - Booming!
One year on from a name change and Hubbard Ice Systems is flying.
The year since the erstwhile Hubbard Refrigeration became Hubbard Ice Systems has been the most successful in the company's history. "Sales have been incredibly strong, despite a relatively flat market, and our share has risen significantly," says Chris Davis, Commercial Director. "And it's not just in our traditional markets, like hospitality, that we're experiencing growth. New markets such as retail and food manufacture have also done exceptionally well."
Hubbard Ice Systems had been known as Hubbard Refrigeration for over 35 years, being the UK distributor for Scotsman, the world's most successful icemaker brand.
"A name change was essential", says Chris Davis. "As Hubbard Refrigeration we were often contacted by customers looking for other types of refrigeration equipment rather than ice machines and systems. We wanted a name that made our specialisation clear and reflected out position as leader of 'the ice pack'!
"This was especially important in our developing markets where we were less well known - and I reckon our success over the past year shows we got it right!"
