Hubbard Ice's Hands-Free Approach at Hotelympia

Hubbard Ice Systems, the UK distributor of worldwide brand-leading Scotsman Ice Machines, launched two new and improved hands-free ice and water dispenser tabletop models at Hotelympia this year, perfect for hygienic self-service in hotel bars and restaurants.

Ice dispensing systems that allow for self-service operation are becoming evermore popular in modern foodservice and consumers have become used to customising their eating and drinking experience in this way. Ideal for self-service hotel breakfasts and buffets, an ice dispenser allows customers to cool their drinks as per their own taste.

Scotsman already offer two versions of the TC180. The first option identifies the presence of a user when a container is placed in the dispensing area using an infrared 'magic eye' system, dispensing ice 'Cubelets' automatically. The machine can also be set to dispense chilled water in the same way.

A second model is available whereby either ice or water is dispensed at the push of a button. The twin button system is a foolproof method useful for fast turnaround serving areas.

With both options pure Cubelet super-compressed ice drops directly into the consumer's glass with no manipulation, preventing any potential sanitary hazards.

The TC 180 has set the industry benchmark for ice & water dispense and now Hubbard Ice Systems can offer two further improved options on both the Magic Eye and Push Button systems. The Long Range TC 180 features an increased storage bin capacity of 9kg, able to cope with peak time ice requirements, without increasing the size of the machine and, for those locations where counter space is limited, the Short Range version has been reduced in depth by almost 10cm, but retains its original 5kg storage capacity.

Both models produce up to 150kg of ice every 24 hours and offer stylish looks and compact size. Their easy-clean rounded corners, removable dispensing chute for sanitising and electronic controls deliver ultra-reliable and hygienic performance.

The Scotsman ice machines supplied by Hubbard Ice Systems are built to make compliance easy. Scotsman is an ISO 9002 accredited company whose machines are compliant with the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and carry the CE mark as well as many international standards.
