Scotsman Iceberg Spotted in Wimbledon

This ACM225 Scotsman ice making machine, seen abandoned in a river of flood water outside of its former home in Wimbledon, really does prove that ice floats.
The machine was returned to the Hubbard Ice Systems factory by supplier P&S Williams Refrigeration of Welling, Kent and once dried out it was actually found that it was still in working order. However, in line with Hubbard Ice's compliance to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations, unfortunately this machine has been consigned to the scrap heap. A new Scotsman machine was then installed by P&S Williams, although not a water-cooled machine this time!
Chris Davis, Commercial Director of Hubbard Ice Systems, the UK distributor of worldwide brand leading Scotsman Ice Machines, comments that, "We have been inundated with calls from people needing to replace their flood damaged Scotsman machines and have been supplying new ones as quickly as possible.
"The sight of this solitary Scotsman machine in a torrent of water is just a small indication of the level of flooding across the country. Wimbledon isn't even a badly hit area! We hope to lighten the burden for those affected as best we can."
