Ice cool superhero at RAC 07
The runaway success that is the new Scotsman 6 series range of ice cube machines, distributed in the UK by Hubbard Ice systems, is set to take the limelight as the main feature on Hubbard's stand D110 at RAC 2007. Designed especially for 'front-of-house' the stunning new Italian design includes over a dozen new features aimed at making this sleek and stylish range of machines the 'staple' of every bar in the land.
Launched at Hotelympia 2006 the new range has proven to be highly popular during 2006 and demand across the 13-model range remains high. A further model, the ACM206, is anticipated during 2007 bring the range-wide choice to 14, spanning production rates from 24 Kg per 24 hours to a massive 145 Kg per 24 hours.
The stainless steel and ABS shells have been specifically designed to create a visual statement that is simple in its presentation yet practical in its functionality. Softly radiused verticals offer a softness of form that speeds daily use. Sharp edges have been banished form the external shell and the subtlety of silhouette is enhanced by the use of 'soft-touch' plastics to please the tactile senses and aid day to day practicalities like cleaning and maintenance.
After extensive customer research, the Scotsman 6 series range now offers larger storage, effectively meaning that many operators may find it beneficial to downsize to a lower production threshold whilst increasing storage with a Scotsman 6 Series machine.
Each machine in the range has been designed from the ground up with a host of new features aimed at making life easy for users, engineers and installers and including:
- Two models with reduced external dimensions especially designed for easier installation under counters and bars
- Six larger models with storage capacities increased to a minimum of 50% of daily production
- Range-wide, radiused exterior corners for improved cleaning and visual aesthetics
- 'Hush-design' door closing mechanism to reduce ambient noise<
- Unique, integral, front of machine, customisable Point-Of-Sale display
- Award winning front of machine illuminated On/Off switch and condenser filter maintenance warning signal
- Integrated storage bin bacteria control system featuring replaceable, time elapsed bactericidal vapour release pouches
- Integrated ice scoop and hygienic ice scoop holder
- Easy access, washable condenser filter
- Patented Limescale removal sump system
- Easy access water pump filter
- Quick-fit water spray plates for fast cleaning and maintenance
- Optional, range-wide PWD, pumped waste system for remote siting of machines up to 20 meters distant or 1.5 metres below waste point

The Scotsman 6 Series range is manufactured using Grade 304 stainless steel and all machines work on 230v, 50w single phase. The Easyfit 6 Series range featuring PWD (pumped waste discharge) can be sited up to 1.5 metres below the nearest waste outlet or 20 metres distant.

ACM 46 producing a maximum 1200 medium cubes (24kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 9kg. The Scotsman ACM 46 measures 645mm high x 386mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 35kg
ACM 56 producing a maximum 1550 medium cubes (31kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 12.5kg. The Scotsman ACM 56 measures 695mm (legs + 135mm) high x 386mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 36kg
ACM 86 producing a maximum 1900 medium cubes (35kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 19kg. The Scotsman ACM 86 measures 795mm (legs + 120mm) high x 530mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 44kg
ACM 106 producing a maximum 2500 medium cubes (50kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 23kg. The Scotsman ACM 106 measures 850mm (legs + 120mm) high x 530mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 52kg
ACM 126 producing a maximum 3550 medium cubes (71kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 39kg. The Scotsman ACM 126 measures 930mm (legs + 120mm) high x 680mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 75kg
ACM 176 producing a maximum 4200 medium cubes (84kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 48kg. The Scotsman ACM 176 measures 1000mm (legs + 120mm) high x 680mm wide x 600mm deep and weighs 80kg
ACM 226 producing a maximum 7250 medium cubes (145kg) in a 24-hour period with an integral insulated storage of 70kg. The Scotsman ACM 226 measures 1006mm (legs + 120mm) high x 1078mm wide x 660mm deep and weighs 80kg
ACM 206 model will join the range during 2007.
