A centrepiece of the stand was the esp (Every Serve Perfect) bar, a joint initiative between Diageo and Hubbard Ice Systems, where trained staff were showing better drinks service for improved turnover and profits.
Ever wondered how to make the perfect drink? On the Hubbard Ice Systems stand Diageo's esp ('Every Serve Perfect') team were demonstrating exactly how it's done.
"Every Serve Perfect helps bars improve drinks service by pinpointing specific areas to work on," said Hubbard's Commercial Director Chris Davis. "It's about being more professional and being more profitable."
If you are lucky enough to find a place at the esp bar, you can get a complimentary drink - perfectly served!
Every Serve Perfect encompasses the whole concept of serving drinks, from preparation and choice of glassware, spirits, mixers and ice, through to final presentation. Regular hourly demonstrations covered how to improve drinks service, how to benefit from improved customer relations and how to encourage responsible drinking.
The familiar Scotsman 'Supercube' ice was naturally Diageo's "esp-ecial" choice for the perfectly served drink.
