All-New Scotsman Icemakers Launched at Hotelympia '06

PLUS: Every Serve Perfect: esp team shows how to make the perfect drink

Great looks, enhanced performance with user-friendly features, plus more flexibility through space-saving dimensions: those are the objectives for the all-new Scotsman ice machines to be launched by Hubbard Ice Systems at Hotelympia '06.

Scotsman is the acknowledged UK market leader, not only in terms of market share but also for quality, reliability and performance, so the new technologies and designs to be unveiled at the show are bound to create a huge buzz.

"These machines will set new standards in terms of cool looks - making them the ideal choice for any front of house situation, from the bar to the 'theatre' kitchen," says Chris Davis of Hubbard Ice Systems. "The development team has also been working on making the units less susceptible to scale build-up, while introducing a number of patented solutions to enhance ease of sanitation, a top priority for Scotsman Ice Systems. Tests on the prototypes have given very exciting results. The new models are equipped with a visual alarm which will let the operator know when it is time for a clean up."

Meanwhile, some of the Scotsman lines featured on the Hubbard stand include models that sever the 'drain chain': "Traditional ice machines have to be sited higher than the drains, which creates real problems for designers and installers. Scotsman has developed technologies to overcome that problem: within limits, you can put machines fitted with our PWD system wherever you want, regardless of where the drains are," says Davis.

esp @ ExCeL: professional, profitable drinks service

Hubbard will also welcome back Diageo's esp (Every Serve Perfect) team, who will be demonstrating how to make the perfect drink – not only to make the customer happier, but also to increase profits.

Every Serve Perfect encompasses the whole concept of serving drinks, from preparation and choice of glassware, spirits, mixers and ice, through to final presentation. The Hubbard stand will feature 30-minute demonstrations every hour that will also cover how to improve drinks service, how to benefit from improved customer relations and the way to encourage responsible drinking.

Hubbard Ice Systems is the ice machine partner involved in Diageo's esp programme, the famous Scotsman 'Supercube' ice being the esp choice for the perfect serve. "esp helps bars improve drinks service by pinpointing specific areas to work on," says Chris Davis. "It's about being more professional and being more profitable"
