Water Coolers for infection control
The Scotsman SCW-14B from Hubbard Ice Systems is the ideal water cooler when infection control is a key issue. A freestanding unit, it relies on standard mains water, so can deliver a continuous supply of up to 62 litres of fresh water per hour, cooled to 10 Degrees Celsius.
The key infection control feature of the Scotsman SCW-14B is its hygienic hands-free operation. Rather, it is operated by foot pedal, delivering water via a tall tap for filling cups and jugs, or with a 'bubbler' spout for 'cup-free' fountain drinking. Wastewater drains away automatically.
The SCW-14B can be mounted against a wall, in a corner, or installed standalone. The design is narrow and compact, while the basin is1060mm high, for ease of drinking. Plumbing is straightforward, with mains water and waste connections direct into the cooler's cabinet.
The water is cooled through a 'coil-on-coil' design, where the water pipe runs alongside the refrigerated coil - a simple design that makes for easy maintenance, high reliability and a fast output over extended periods. A water filter can be fitted in the cabinet, when sites have regular maintenance schedules allowing for six-monthly filter changes.
