High Style, High Volume, Compact Size
Hubbard Ice Systems has launched two new 'dice' (square-shaped) cube icemakers that have stylish 'front of house' looks. The MV600 and MV1000 are modular high volume models designed for use in a variety of outlets, ranging from larger pubs and cocktail bars to fast food diners and leisure centres, and are especially styled to look good in public situations.
But not only do they stand out from the crowded ice machine market with their designer looks - they also share a compact design that gives them a space-saving footprint of less than one square metre. Naturally they feature Scotsman's market-leading technology, delivering efficient water and energy consumption in the most reliable and cost-effective machines on the market.
Traditional icemaker design has tended to be functional rather than aesthetic. However, the move towards 'open-plan' drink and food service, together with the growth in designer bars, has led to increasing demand for more attractive models. The new MV machines, with their elegant curving lines, were conceived to fulfil this need.
The MV600 has a capacity of up to 330 kg of dice ice per day, equivalent to around 25,300 cubes, and measures 680mm (height) x 800 x 600. The larger MV1000 can produce up to 525kg a day (40,300 cubes) and measures 745mm x 1078 x 564. Being modular, they sit on top of ice storage bins. Hubbard offers a variety of these, including the Scotsman B550S, which can store up to 190kg of ice.
Both machines are made of 304-grade stainless steel in an attractive satin finish, and they are available in either air or water-cooled versions - the latter being suitable for use in sites where ventilation will be problems. Lower maintenance costs are ensured by features such as the automatic hygiene system, which flushes water from the reservoir during every cycle, reducing the danger of scale build-up.
